S B Global Logistics organize urgent charter flight to Noumea for engineer and spare engine part.

Recently one of Air Calin’s Airbuses was grounded in Noumea with an engine fault.

Subsequent enquiries found the nearest available spare part in Christchurch NZ.

As Air Calin is a DB Schenker AU client DB Schenker’s Partner in Christchurch, S B Globaln Logistics was contacted to arrange urgent delivery. With no immediate flights available the decision was made to charter a plane to get the spare part to Noumea urgently. This decision also solved the problem of getting the required engineer and technical support to Noumea to help achieve the repair.

Within hours an eight seat Westwind II with a crew of two is sourced in AKL and prepped for flight to CHC to collect its cargo and begin its eight hour round trip to NOU and back to AKL.

Not an everyday occurrence, but nothing beyond the expertise of S B Global Logistics.

End result a very happy client.
